Makes me think he was one crazy mofo. The series as a whole makes me feel patriotic especially when I remember watching it when it originally aired right after 9/11. They need to get on w the Pacific War series.

Ahhhhrrhgh.. randomness...

You need to add some context... maybe mention that the scene you are trying to describe was from Band of Brothers. Even that little bit would help.

Yep, I remember looking at the IMDB entry for the Pacific Theater series. This was a couple years ago, and I think it was due out in like 2007. I just checked, and now we have to wait till 2009. I still need to buy the original. My favorite war movie along with Platoon.

How can you not remember the scene!?

It's where Capt. Spiers takes over command from the inept commander. He runs through the center of Bastogne to hook up with I (?) company and then runs back to his original company. At first the Germans are like "WTF?", and then they start shooting. Capt Spiers makes it back and forth without getting hit.

Based on the IMDB entry for it, I think they are still doing casting and going to work on it pretty soon.

Production Company and Crew Information:
Dreamworks contracted Playtone, who produced the "Band of Brothers" series, to make "The Pacific War" series. Playtone have since signed on writer, Bruce C. McKenna (Band of Brothers, Rendezvous with Rama), and initiated talks with sound recordist, Dave Schaaf (Primetime Wednesday, Entertainment Tonight).

With Gary Goetzman (The Polar Express, The Silence of the Lambs), Tom Hanks (The Love, My Big Fat Greek Wedding), and Steven Spielberg (Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List) to executive produce, this is to be the largest TV mini-series to be tackled to date.

Together Dreamworks, and Playtone, have signed on HBO to distribute the final product.

Shooting and Production Information:
To begin shooting in Melbourne in August, although there have been delays and talks of moving the production to Hawaii.

The Melbourne Playtone production office has been keeping the Melbourne City Central Studios (MCCS) well informed of their plans for shooting, in particular the Facilities Co-ordinator from MCCS and the Production Secretary from Playtone, both in Melbourne.
