Caps lock enabbled, cant disable

i dont feel like holding down the shift key for the remainder of this BUT I DONT KNOW WHY MY CAPS LOCK WILL NOT GO OFF AFTER PRESSING THE BUTTON. THE KEY IS FREE AND CLEAR OF ANY DIRT OR CRUD. IM USING A HP MINI 1000 NETBOOK. I BOOTED UP THIS AFTERNOON AND COULNDT LOG IN TO THIS PC CAUSE THE LOCK WAS ON. ITS REALLY FRUSTRATING. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
