what I have right now is WinfastPVR.. and its basically always open in the taskbar.. and when I want to take a picture.. i have to actually open up the program and then press the snapshot button. what i'm lookign for is a program that this actually doesn't have to be done. i'm looking for something that, the program could be minimized and it doesn't have to be opened and I could press a hotkey and it could take the picture and save it somewhere. any ideas?

Just taking a screenshot of what is showing on the TV program at the moment? Pressing the Print Screen button will save a picture of your desktop to the clipboard.

i have the tuner card.

Hook up your PVR card to the composite or Svideo output of your tv? Or if you don't have one of those on your tv, tune your tv with a VCR instead?

its already hooked up. i'm looking for a program that will take pictures without me having to actually load up a program, or at least keep it in the background so I don't have to pull it up every time I want to take a picture, like WinfastPVR.

How will you know what you're taking a picture of?

Anyway, print screen won't work on overlay video.

I think you're what they call an edge case.

Ok, let me explain it.

I have my s-video hooked up to my TV. It's all hooked up. Lets get past that.

Right now I have the program WinfastPVR. I have to actually OPEN up the program for it to take pictures of my TV.

What I want is a program that can run in the background, and if I see something I want capped on my TV, I can just press a hotkey and it will take the picture of it.

Better now?
