Capoeira Knockout in an MMA fight.....

seems there is a higher degree than normal amount of luck involved to make that style work.

i'd like to see him go 3 rounds with all that jumping whirly-bird kicking shit. that's got to be tiring.

They're both slow as hell. Left themselve wide open for attacks many times. And the monkey guy got off a lucky shot.

thats also a scene from a movie.

So?

movies are scripted?

Would be cool if it were real, wouldn't it 🙂

cept its not.

and capoeira is all about overwhelming your opponent with a flurry of moves. It's very all-or-nothing, but very hard to defend against when the practitioner throws his entire body into every kick.

I am no fighter, but I would think looking at the fact that you have invested your entire body into one direction of spin that all kicks and punches would be coming from the same direction, all punches and kicks would be of the roundhouse variety too, and also you are forced to turn your vision away from your opponent at easily timed moments that it is doomed to failure.

In fact, I imagine someone just giving you the bull rush of a linebacker has 99% chance of not getting hit with something and when he hits you you'll be totally off balance.
