Hey guys. For those of you with XBOX Live and thinking of picking up this title, do it. Just rented last night, and I think I will go ahead and purchase it outright. It retails for only $40 too, so that's awesome.
I've played merely 5 games online thus far, and have had good and bad (1) experiences. My first match online I had my ass handed to me. Next match I played against someone who refused to talk, but that's ok. For those who don't know, when you play online, you pick 3 guys, and go through them in order in the match. Well, this guy started pretty strong, actually got me down to my last guy (who is always who I'm best with, for a strong finish
). I fought back and humiliated him with my last guy, beating all three of his guys. Well, a second after I struck the finishing blow, it came up and said connection lost. GODDA!@!! Bastard. It doesn't count as a loss, but still shows you having played the match. And on the total rankings screen, it doesn't show stats like that. Only how many you've won out of how many you've fought. So that kinda sucks, but I'm not worried about my ranking too much, as I know I'll never break anywhere near 100 with these dedicated people who have already fought well over 1000 matches since it's release 3 days ago.
Next 3 matches were against the same guy, and I one 2 out of 3, even though he was a one trick pony. I eventually got frustrated at his using the same exact move over and over that I lost the last match we played. Jeeez, mix it up a bit guy!
But overall a great experience. Engaged in a couple of good conversations during the fighting, and game was completely lag free in every match I played. Every now and then, it would hiccup (pause for half a second), but did not effect the match whatsoever. I remember the hiccup only 3 times in my 5 matches.
Great game guys! Go pick it up!
