While i was unplugging a fan i slipped and nocked off a capacitor on my 8800GTS. I ran my computer and my temps are fine, and games play fine as well.

This is the one that fell off.

Is it necessary I put it back on? Its working fine without it. If i was to put it back on, could I use epoxy? Shoudl I call eVGA? I never set up a warranty though i believe im good for life?

considering thats one hell of a card, i'd try to send it back to eVGA. If that doesn't work...maybe you could solder it back on?

you need to have registered your card within 30 days of purchase to be eligible for the warranty, but its still worth a shot to ask them.

Otherwise, you would need to solder it back on

Wait i dont think they cover physical damage

I had my current card come to me from Newegg with a loose cap bouncing around in the box. Rather than wait for shipping back and forth, I soldered the damn thing back on and have been happy ever since.

EVGA 7800GT if that matters.
