Cap Individual Downloads?

So there's a number of files that I want to download, but if I start downloading them while I'm browsing it sucks up the bandwidth. And then later on I can't remember to come back to them. Is there some way to cap individual download speeds in Safari, like set it to 100K or so, so you still have another 100K free for other activities?
 
I don't think Safari can do it, but Firefox with Downthemall might.
