Canvas to Illustrator conversion...

I have a canvas file that i need to convert to a format that Illustrator can handle. IF i had canvas i could print to postscript, but all i have is the canvas file and illustrator. I tried searching and google and got nothing. Any ideas?

BTW, i want to maintain the vectors that will be in the canvas file.
