I can't figure this out. I've replaced the video drivers, change settings, etc.. I can't seem to view 3D screensavers such as the Pipe, Flower Box, Windows Logo, etc.. But I'm able to view the Star Field screen saver and other non-3D ones.

I have Direct X 8 or 9. My drivers are up to date. I downloaded the latest Nvidia detonator drivers online. I don't know the name of my video card. I tried using SiSoft Sandra to find it, but I wasn't able to. What should I do to view full screen? My movies seem to be working in full screen. It's just the 3D screen savers and the visualizations in Media Player. The visualizations in Media Player play in regular window, but in full screen it crashes.

thanks!

Is this an Intel or AMD system? Do you remember if you installed the motherboard driver pack that would've included the AGP drivers? That said, it's really odd that you can't view screensavers such as Pipes, which will run on a completely non-3D-accelerated video card like a 1Mb Cirrus Logic PCI. If it were me, I'd just reinstall Windows in this order:

Windows
Latest service pack for Windows
Motherboard drivers (VIA 4-in-1's, nForce unified driver pack, Intel INF or whatever is appropriate to the board)
DirectX
Video drivers (NOT from Windows Update, they've got broken ones sometimes)
Updated browser
Additional service packs and security patches for browser

Good luck :)
