can't use program, windows 10 deleted

windows 10 deleted my file, as it deemed it was a security threat, and now i can't even use attached devices that are bought directly off of the store shelf, brand new!!!!!!!

i did not tell my computer to delete an exe file. this is from a program directly from a device attachment utility disk, the ORIGINAL.
windows 10 HAS destroyed my innocent file

Otherwise, was this a security-risk program, like GIVEIO.SYS, used by some really low-budget peripheral makers? Buy better hardware, or at least hardware with better drivers.

While it can be a false positive, Win 10 don't actually delete said file. It puts it in quarantine, and you could recover it.
I would use https://www.virustotal.com/#/home/upload and see what they say about said file.
What device is it exactly?

Windows 10 is not a destroyer, that was 3.1.


In the real world, no OS can erase a file on a utility disc since they are mostly read only.

"Windows 10 is not a destroyer": not an isolated incident. multiple devices no longer work. multiple programs no longer work.

deustroop, my friend, once you install the installation disc, the program is on the HD, as are many programs. only for games and some other
software, they requre the CD "at the same time"; however, even in these instances, they are still installed ON THE HD.
(please refer to the computer reference manual)

your suggestion did not help to fix it deustroop, do you have any others????

but if its downloading the latest driver, then i have already done this. these things are needed for civilization or a "system", any system, such as a computer, to function properly.
Such things are aptly noted in a Perfect Society, or a perfectly running civilization which does not cause itself to become extinct from ignorance.
this is why i reinstalled it 4 times, to make sure that the computer understood this, as 30 years from now the ocean's temperature is going to reach 2 degrees in increase, increasing hurricanes and windstorms,
and causing 30% of the soft bodied aquatic creatures to become extinct; and Humans are part of the Food Chain.

You could use Linux. That device you are trying to use with Windows may work better with Linux.

A quick look around showed other WNA1100 owners having issues with win 10. Easiest solution is to return it if you still can, and buy a more current adapter. If you cannot return it then mint or ubuntu might be a better home for it, as suggested.

I'm wondering if the OP is on LSD or weed or maybe even off his meds when he is posting. I know if I don't take my meds I'll get racing thoughts that some of them are petty far out. I discover that the hard way when the agency I get my meds from forgot to include one of my meds for a few weeks until I caught it.

Note to Mods: Again I'm not attacking the OP, just stating what I'm noticing. I've been off one of my meds before so I tend to recognize when other people have them.
