I can log in , but when I click on reply , or the new topic....nothing happens...no window opens......it was fine before I installed the new IE.....is that the problem? NO IE flames please!
 
Do you have pop-up windows blocked for AT?

I've never had problems with my Firefox . . . 😉 😀
 
Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

See how that works.

I sometimes get long delays opening some web pages here at the Forums also although it's been going on long before IE7. With IE7, I've learned to wait longer.

Yes, it sucks.

Next you'll hear Firefox, Opera, so on and so on. Edit: It started before I was done composing this. This site should work in IE7 in my opinion.
 
The reply uses javascript, maybe try updating java. I can't see how it will hurt. Any alternative browser (firefox, seamonkey, opera, mozilla) should also work until you get this settled.

I agree with Jim. Download Java Runtime Environment here:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

If it's a new build, chances are you havn't downloaded it.

I doubt it has anything to do with what browser you're using, esp. if its IE7.
 
Hey guys , I'm back , I know , I know ,....general hardware....it was more of an ooops posting but since I got a few responses I wanted to try to wrap this problem up here as well.
I've updated to the latest Java..5.0 and still can't reply or start a topic on anandtech...also...this is interesting that I just found this out. But on Yahoo , I've tried to watch news video , and the window pops up to load the video , but it stays blank....the status bar on the bottom says "done" but nothing loads. What am I missing here? Surely the popup blocker isn't affecting this because the window opens. Just nothing ever loads. Thanks again ahead of time for any advice!
