Can't update Plextor firmware under win2k, HELP I want Clone Back!!!!!

I can't figure this out for the life of me, When I run the updater it finds the drive but then gets an error while attemping to update. This is the second time that I have tried this under win2k, the first time I ended up going back to Win98 and the update worked fine.

Any ideas

the drive is the 8432T
 
I just did the flash under W2K with no problems. I had problems in the past with HP writers not flashing under W2K but worked fine under W98 for some reason while others had no problem.

Edit: Ack, nevermind - we have different drives I just noticed.
