Can't think of this movie.. need help

My first thought on the thread to title was House, but the OP is Pulse to the letter. Loved that movie. There's also a seen where a transformer on a pole outside explodes?

In Shocker, the kid is a senior in high school, IIRC. I think there may be parts of the beginning when he was younger, but I don't think the villain becomes electrically infused until the kid is older. Been a while since I've watched this one.

I am still leaning towards Pulse, but it's been a long time since I've seen this, either, so I am not sure about the garage -- but the kid is young throughout the whole movie.

Ah..that makes sense. Apparently I have never seen that film. When you were mentioning Pulse I thought you meant the 2006 Japanese/American remake which sounded nothing like what he was referring to.

I don't think it's Pulse.

That took place in an urban environment. It had more to do PC's/networks and strange entities from somewhere who traveled on wavelengths/signals (PC, cell phone etc) trying to kill us.

I don't think there's any young kid in it. IIRC, they were all college age.
