can't sync photos from iPod touch

What version of iPhoto do you have?

If you have the latest one, you probably have to enable Photo Stream.

If you have an older version of iPhoto, you would need to sync with the cord to so that iPhoto sees the iPod touch as a camera. Wi-Fi sync would work with everything but the pictures.

I thought Photo stream was only part of iCloud. Are you saying it works with WiFi sync and doesn't require iCloud? If so, I wonder if I could use that in Snow Leopard if I upgraded iPhoto.
