Cant stop Port 80 on router

Senior member
Hello,

I cant start my camera http service because port 80 is already in use, and i have no option to change port 80...
My port 80 is used by the router, and i have no option to disable it ...
My Router model is Netgear Router DGN2200v2...
I know how to port forward ports, but port 80 isnt listed there, and cant stop it accessing my router settings from the external ip...

is there any thing i can do? how could i disable port 80 accessing my router settings with this router?

Thanks

According to the user guide, you can change the Remote Management port the router uses. You can also disable Remote Management. That should allow you to use the camera with the default port 80.

Also, there doesn't appear to be a v2 according to Netgear, only v1, v3, and v4.

Any updates on this issue? It looks like the v2 is an ISP branded modem/router with custom firmware. As with most modem/router combos it appears to be crippled in some way which is why I avoid them at all cost. If you cannot forward from another port, or disable remote management, then get another router and bypass the router in this combo (if possible, verify first).

Who is your ISP? some ISP's like the above posted mentioned brand the router with their own firmware and disable a lot of the features. If you were running dd-wrt, changing the default router port to something other than port 80 would have been very easy..
