Can't stop playing Oregon Trail

I hate this game. I PAID the ferry guy to get me across the river, and it still tipped! Lost a bunch of supplies and one of my kids. I should've caulked my wagon and tried floating across.

Why is it that the games that you can't stop playing, are also the most maddening?

I love Oregon trail, only love the old school mac verison though. Everyone would end up dyuing though and I would be sad

One of my all time favorites. Brings back fond memories of the Apple ][c days.

My cousin and I used to send them off on suicide runs to see how far the party would make it before they all died. We'd put them on a 'grueling pace' with 'bare bones' rations and no supplies (other than wagon parts to make sure they couldn't stop.)

I love the Oregon Trail! And yes, I agree, having the ferry tip over is quite frustrating :|

On our old, old computer (486 :Q) sometimes a large moose would run across the top of the screen in the game..

Is that like Word Munchers? I still have that game on 5.25 floppy for MS Dos. Along with Math Blasters, Play Room, and a bunch of other games I can't remember now.
