cant startup comp

i just put together my comp
520w power
dfi lanparty sli nforce4 mobo

i plug the power cord in and flip the switch then hit the front on button i got light for about 1 second from the front panel then it went out and all i see on the motherboard is the dram light and on the bottom 2 lights out of 4 which means DRAM detected nothing is moving not even the powersupply fans or lights on or turning can someone give me some iedas what i should check for?

0) Make sure power connections are firm
1) Make sure CMOS jumper is set to not clear... retry post
2) Check that power button is correctly set (can try jumpering the post)
3) break back down your computer to the essentials: cpu/mb/ram/video then turn on the machine again.

4) If nothing works then try swapping out motherboard / psu

Make sure you are powering on with the right posts.. Take a screw driver and run down the posts where the powerswitch, hd led and reset switch goes to be sure you have the shunt in the right place. Some motherboard have the labels a little offset
