Hi

I have a gigabyte MOBO GA-60xet based on intel's i815ep chipset and running windows 98 (no second edition). I can't get my computer into sleep or stand by mode, or to put it in another way, when the computer goes into stand-by mode, and when I try to wake it up, it just hangs, the screen goes black ( I still see the mouse pointer, and it doesn't move it just hangs, and I have to shutdown "hard", or through Ctrl+Alt+Del.

The BIOS, An AWARD Flash BIOS ver. f10, under the power management type I either must use S1( power on suspend), S3 (suspend to RAM). and for the monitor I have two other options "stop grant" or " power on suspend " . Which should I use.

Regards

use power on suspend for both. see if that fixes anything, I know for windows 98se there is a patch that fixes a similar problem during shutdown, but I can't seem to find anything for win98 (only did a quick search though)

nice title by the way ;)
