This is my third DS3L (long story don't ask) in 1 year and I'm experiencing the "cold boot" issue more than ever now. My computer has been on for 90% of the past month because I'm afraid to shut down. It appears that when I shut down after having the computer on for 2-3 consecutive days, the motherboard fails to boot. Everything turns on but all I get is a black screen and no boot or POST. That is unless I take the battery out, reset CMOS, wait 12-24 hours, turn it on/off ~15 times AND THEN it finally boots and loads Windows...

I just upgraded my bios from F7 to F9A but Gigabyte didn't bother to fix it.

Are they ever going to do anything about it?

Unplug (power and data) the SATA hard drive(s) and try to post the machine.

I have a rev 2 board and never saw this problem.

You say it's your 3rd board... Did all of them do this?

Give us all your hardware info starting with your Power supply....Seems awfully strange that you are experiencing this 3 times..I would start to think something else is contributing to this problem..
