Cant share printer in XP

Keep getting "printer spool service not running", even after I have gone in and enabled it.

I just set up the computers last week. Im a total newb when it comes to any sort of networking. I have a printer installed on only one of the computers...that should be ok, right?

I need more info.

Are you sharing the printer on the host machine?
Can both PCs see eachother across the network?
Can the host PC print to the printer?

Have you set the spedific printer on the Host PC to share? If not, Click on start on the desktop, settings. printers and faxes, single right click on the printer that you want to share and then single left click on "Sharing" and then choose to share it and give it a "Share Name", click on Apply, restart both computers and see if that does it. I would also install that specific printer driver on the client computer.

I'm not sure how you set the printer up to share...but this is how I did it. From the start.

On the computer that does not have the printer installed...goto add a printer. Next select network printer then browse. You might have to search a bit for it but it'll be there. Then highlight it and add. Now, on the computer that has the printer installed (do this before the above steps, otherwise it will never find it!!) Go to printers and find yours...then right click on it...goto sharing and enable sharing...it will probably ask you to make a name for your printer...I always just go with the default name...

That should be it!
