Can't share files between 2 Xp Pro Computers

Here's my situation, I have two xp computers hooked to a D-link router and I'm trying to share files between them. In xp I've run the network setup wizard on both computers and picked the connect through hub to Internet option. And then tried to set a folder to be shared. If I set a folder on computer 1 shared computer 2 can't find it and visa versa. I add them both to the Mshome workgroup and neither seem to actually be in the workgroup. Any help would be great..

go to internet exlorer.

Type in this address where computer is replaced by the other computer's name

Is the Windows firewall still turned on? Did you add "file and printer sharing" to the local network properties?

if you want to share a specific folder,
right click it, and goto sharing and security -> sharing tab -> Check "Share This Folder On Network"

then you should be able to goto my network places, goto your workgroup name and see that folder on the other computer.
