My friend bought a pc the other day and we tried to set agp aperture size from bios but we couldn't find it.
What can be happening? Do I need an updated bios(though I believe that he has a new version,I can't recall it exactly)
Or can I set it through software? If so can you recommend one?
For the record he has a gigabyte 9800pro
Thankz

What kind of PC? Some pre-built ones probably don't have that option in the BIOS. Something like CPU-z or Sandra will tell you what it's set to. I'm still not really clear on what the optimal setting is though, other than the more RAM you have, the higher you can set it, and the less video RAM you have, the higher you should set it.

I don't think so. I don't know that it even really matters. I've set mine everywhere from 64MB to 256MB and don't notice any difference in games.

Well it certainly helps a lot especially when you have to deal with such compressed textures as DoomIII have. Provide that you have at least 1gb of ram or more

Anyone else?
