Can't separate paragraphs when typing

I fresh installed W7 and IE on a new SSD and when I'm typing replies on some forums (not AT specifically) the Enter/Return key doesn't work... in other words, I can't separate paragraphs.

I think I had this same problem with my last install, and there was a Fix It solution for it, but for the life of me I can't find it.

Anyone? 😕

Longshot, but have you tried reinstalling yr KB? Hooking up another KB?

The problem is only with a few different websites... not general usage. Working within Windows it's 100% I've checked the drivers (current) and sticky keys (off.)

Hello Charlie, have you looked at these?

No luck there, either.... but thanks.

FOUND IT! ...it's a compatibility view setting. 🙂

CONGRATS! Fabulous.....so it WAS software not hardware.

Can you share where this setting is?

Just delved and found this: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie-9/features/compatibility-view

Seriously, my next suggestion was going to be try another browser.

Again, congrats! Doesn't it rock when we can figure stuff out on our own? Tho sometimes.....we need a little help.🙂

I really have a hard time with some of the settings, sometimes. Often, as I stumble through different things... I wind up making things worse!

Welcome....to being a work in progress HUMAN!!!!()🙂

Anyone who don mess up/make mistakes sometimes, is hiding in the fetal position under the sofa. The late Steve Jobs knew that.
