K, I'm trying to set up an oldschool gaming machine for my roomie to use. I have a Voodoo 3 3000 in it, and I've got some (I think) fairly decent drivers in there for it. Now the system is also dual-booting Win 2k just in case I need to do some complex network stuff. (And we all know how well Win98 and networks go together) Anyway, under 2k I can get the monitor up to 1280x960 or so just fine, but using the same drivers (well, the 9x version of them) I can't set my monitor above 640x480 resolution in 98. I'm thinking it might be that it only identifies it as "Default Monitor", seeing as I don't know where to get the drivers for it. (Made by some obscure company called "Touch". So old it has the 5-dimm BNC connectors in the back as well) Is there something I need to do in 98 so I can get the viewing resolution above crap level?

maybe try changing the monitor to "plug and play monitor"
sounds like it might be using "default monitor"

try that perhaps.

If it's connected through BNC, then PnP doesn't work (since the PnP data connection just isn't there). Choose your monitor brand and model, or use the closest one from the Generic section. This advice might help just as well if it's connected through 15-pin VGA.
