Can't seem to add song to WMP Media Library...

Yes, I know this is in the wrong forum, but I couldn't get an answer over in Software, and I don't care if you think WMP sucks and that Winamp pwns joo.

No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to add a particular song to my Media Library. The tag has been written, erased, and rewritten. I have cut and repasted the file in and out of the folder, but nothing seems to work. What gives?

Try clearing the Media Library and starting over. The files that control the Media Library are located in C:\Documents and Settings\~user you are logged in as~\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player

Deleting the files called CurrentDatabase_59R and wmpfolders will reset the Library and the files will be recreated by WMP when you restart it.

Then try re-adding everything you need to.

It is a track from a paid service? if it is, it probably can't play anywhere besides the service own player.

I've tried deleting the entire library and re-adding my entire collection. No dice.

The song is a CD rip. The other tracks from the same album were added with no problem.

This makes no sense.
