Yesterday I tried watching some videos that I have on my computer (some anime series) and they won't work right. The sound plays fine, but there is no video display in any media player I have which includes Windows Media Player, Real Player, Win Amp, and DivX. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing. I tried installing a few codecs, and again, nothing. Any ideas why this would happen and how to remedy the problem?
I also tried to do a system restore to the last date that I knew I watched video clips, but I can't even do a system restore (by the way, I'm running Win. XP). Anybody know why that is and how to fix it? I'd really really really hate to have to to a reinstall of windows to fix this--I just have to watch videos.
Thanks in advance
Andy
