on a wifi network, one computer can't go into the workgroup or see the computers in it (they're all on the same workgroup, mshome), but can see the other computers via ip. it can see the printer i want it to print to as well, but can't connect to it (the printer is shared, and the other computers on the network can both see it and connect to it). i used to create a local port with the ip ("\\192.168.0.2\hpoffice"), but that doesn't work anymore. (i checked the ip of the computer that has the printer, it's the correct ip.) thoughts? tia.

network neighborhood is not a troubleshooting tool.....

I would do a net view \\ipofprintserver and see what you get. Also check the share name on the printer, and permissions. What OS's are we talking about here?

sorry, they're all windows xp. but like i said, the other 2 computers can print to the 3rd's shared printer fine, so i don't think it's a permissions error.

Go to Network Connections and check if the connection has the firewall turned on.
