My setup is as follows...

Main computer, Win XP, wired via 3com gigabit.
I'm on cable, which goes to the modem, which is wired to the
US Robotics turbo wireless router (8054, which is wired to the main comp. The wirless access goes to computer two, Win ME, w/a US Robotics wireless PCI adapter (5416).

I think I have the same problem as Eltano1 (10/21/03) which hasn't been resolved PLUS...
I have internet on both computers. I can see the connection is established on both. I can access the config. utlty on the 2nd or wireless, but not the main. I have norton internet security, which I think also has a personal firewall, and the router firewall, on. I have disabled dial up, Proxy and 801.X. Both are assigned the same work group name. And I'm not sure what else I have going or not going at this point. But when I attempt to contact my default IP on the main (wired), it pops up a (user name, password) window and no matter what I put in that window and enter, I get a page from Microsoft Internet Explorer and all that is on the page is 401 Unautherized.

Through Windows on the Main comp. I can get to the status page, I can also see on the wireless comp. through IE. WAN, LAN, and wireless all have the same information but on both pages under wireless the MAC address is different than the MAC address under WAN and LAN. Maybe that is suppossed to be I don't know.

USR Tech., like me, didn't have a clue, they sent me to you. I have read this and several other forums but can't find anything that addresses this problem, although Eltano1 may have the same problem. I hope someone out there can save me from having to go to Microsoft, pleeeas! I also hope I have given enough info. If not let me know.

Thanks in advance, JAWS
