Well the topic says it all.
I got a Raid 0 array that I use and have my OS on etc.
But when I connect one more drive on ide1 or 2 then the raid controler can't find my drives that is using the raid controler.
The drives on the raidcontroler is using cable select.
I have tryed using my other drive on both IDE1 and 2 and as Master and slave.
Nothing will work.
Still can't se my raid drives when I have one more disc connected.
The moderboard I'm using is Abit KR7A-RAID.
Please help!

I believe that both drives on the RAID array have to be set as master, and all other ones on IDE channels have to be set as slave.

The problem here lies in that you are usnig an Abit board.

I'm not joking, this is sadly true. There are SO MANY problems with Abit boards and their IDE channels, and RAID arrays. I suggest trying to play around with the locations of your drivers on different IDE channels. I had a headache and a half trying to get my Abit board to work back in the day. Only certain IDE channels worked, when i had certain drives plugged into different channels. It's really weird, but I am almost positive that your problem lies in the board being Abit itself.

I don't think this is a common problem.
How come that this donsen't come up when the review the boards?
My computer did work with it for 2 days and now its donesen't so I like to know what can have when't wrong.
All I did was to remove my CD-RW.
When the problem come up I connected the CD-RW again but the problem was still there.
So does anyone know what can have went wrong?
I can run the array without any other disc without problems.
And I can runt the disc withoit the array without problems.
But when I connect a disc on any IDE (master, slave what ever) the the raid controler can't se my array.

nothing EVER shows up wrong in the reviews. And in reviews they usually only have 1 thing plugged in. You saw their test beds didn't you? It's just a motherboard laid out in a wooden board, with cables dangling left adn right. I rarely see them test the RAID arrays in reviews and benchmarks.

You'd be better off returning this board, as it is almost definately an Abit issue.

Do you have ATA133 as boot device in the bios?? Maybe it was changed if you had boot problems or reset the cmos. Check it out.

Well the computer bootup without problems it just when it comes to the raid controler it can't find any drives.
My OS is on the raid array so I have it as a boot option.
I have tryed like over 100 combinations now.
Without boot device etc.
I have reset the coms a lot.
