Can't see anything in Devices and Printers

Hello. I have Win 7 Ultimate. I recently had some networking issues that I resolved and everything connects great. But now when I try to setup my network printer on my main PC I can't even see the Devices and Printers section. I just get the green bar......and nothing. When I go to make a Network Map in the Network and Sharing Center I see everything just fine, including the printer. I have my router connected to my cable modem, my main pc is on one of the ports of the router. Another port on the router is connected to a Switch. My printer is connected via this switch by ethernet cable. I also have an Access Point connect to this switch. On a laptop I have, I am connected to the wireless emitted by the Access Point and can see everything and print just fine. What do I need to do to my main PC?

Well. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I went to a System Restore point and now it's working again. This is the second time this has happened to me in the last month. I sure wish I knew either what was causing it, and then how to fix it without restoring.
