Every time I try to run Norton Disk Doctor or do CHKDSK /f I get this "Disk reserved by another application" message. I have disabled everything I can think of. In the task list there is nothing running in Applications. Under the processess tab there are many things running. Can I just End all the processes but a few? Which ones do I need to keep running?
I'm using Windows XP.

Those drives are in used by Windows.
Run NDD or CHKDSK /f, it will say something like "Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)"
Type 'Y' and restart your computer, it will run NDD/CHKDSK when booting windows. I don't think there's any way to force running it inside Windows

Yeah I think it is from being NTFS. You can't run a scan disk on NTFS drives while in windows.
