Can't run CHKDSK

I went to defrag my hard drive with Diskeeper and was informed the program would not be able to do its work because CHKDSK is scheduled to run on that drive. The message said it was either a user request (not in this case) or the OS found errors that need to be fixed. No big deal , but it won't run CHKDSK when I reboot. I try to make it so by going to the command prompt and scheduling it, but no go. When I boot I see a brief message along the lines that the disk can't be accessed for checking. Running a RAID 0 array, but why would that be a problem?

If you have Zone Alarm installed, I suggest uninstalling it temporarily, and giving chkdsk another try.

Indeed, ZoneAlarm appears to be the culprit. I found chatter about it on the ZoneAlarms forum. However, simply shutting it down didn't solve it for me, as some suggested; rather, I had to uninstall ZA, as you pointed out, to remedy the situation. Thanks for your input.
