lets just get right to it
e4300
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 rev3.3 f12 (latest bios)
corsair 2x1gb pc6400c4 xms2
corsair hx520w
evga geforce 7600gt
when i first put everything together, with my corsair xms2 pc6400c4 sticks in dimm 1+3, the board wouldnt even post. it would beep continuously and shut off and on several times. i even tried 2+4, and it would still do the same thing. The only configuration where both sticks would work is the 3+4, where they run in single channel. ive run memtest on this configuration for 20 passes and orthos for a few hours- there were no errors reported, so i know that this config is stable. i've tried upping the dimm voltages to 2.1v, loosening the timings, upping all the voltages (pci-e, fsb, mch) by .1v , and even tried the "option 2" of dram dll settings to get dual channel to work. In fact, i think channel 0 of this board might be defective, as i tried only using a single stick on dimm 1 and 2, where it wouldnt post- i would either get the continuous short beeps, which translate to "power error" in beep code, or a continuous long beep, which translates to "dram error" I would hope that this board is not defective, as everything else about it seems perfect
any help or insight would be great
thanks in advance
