Can't run 1600x1200

I have a monitor that supports 1600x1200 resolution and I can run my computer at this resolution but I was trying to run some benchmarks today and I got the message that the resolution was too high.

I have a Gigabyte 6800 card and I have tried various refresh rates including 60Hz, 75Hz, and 85Hz.

Can someone tell me how I can go about running some benchmarks at this resolution?

I am trying to run Aquamark, Comanche 4, FarCry, Doom III and a few others.

Are you able to run any games at 1600x1200?

Are you using DVI? I heard that some 6800's can't display over 1280x1024 using DVI. I'm not sure which models/brand, though.
