According to MSI's website, I can't RMA a friend's motherboard (that's only 10 months old!) -- I have to go through the reseller in which I bought the board?! Most resellers stop doing that after 14-30 days!

So how am I supposed to RMA this board? MSI K7T Pro2-A that posts but freezes when I make changes to CMOS defaults in the BIOS.

Nope -- that would probably be a good idea, wouldn't it :) Thanks for the tip..

But the question still remains, let's say this flash doesn't work -- is the board a worthless piece of junk, then?

Just tell them the reseller is out of business. That's what happened to me and they took it back.

Well we can forget the BIOS flash. It doesn't boot off of the floppy and says defaults loaded. When I go into the BIOS is freezes after 5 seconds.

MSI is quality? LOL Yeah... I can't believe I bought into buying this mobo for a him a while back -- it's a piece of junk! 3rd one to die on me (Pro2-A).

Looks like I'll have to lie to MSI just to get a replacement.
