Can't right click on desktop (Win XP)

I have Win XP pro w/ SP2. Fresh install as of 3 days ago. Over the course of the last 3 days I must have installed something that has messed up my ability to right click on the desktop. I can right click anywhere else, except on the desktop, it just does nothing. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

I did recently install then uninstall tweakxp, but I have also installed a few other things since it was a fresh build

You've probably already checked this, but maybe the RMB has been defined to something other than RMB/context menu/alternative select?

No, haven't checked mainly because I'm not sure how to -- been using Linux for so long that I have fallen out of the Windows loop

Well, the only way I know it could be an issue is if you are using a Logitech mouse with the Logitech software installed. If so, you can check under Control Panel --> Mouse --> Buttons.

It's an MS mouse with no special software installed. I think uninstalling tweakXP is what did it, but I really can't be sure

Try disabling active desktop. Start menu, settings, control panel, Display, Desktop, Customize Desktop, Web, and uncheck all items.

Nothing checked in there.

I'm pretty sure it's because of tweakxp. I remember checking an option to hide all desktop icons. I bet it did something funky.

Problem is, I uninstalled tweakxp, now when I reinstall it it won't let me in, it says that I have a 14 day trial but never lets me click continue, only register. It was only installed for 1 day, so I don't know why it won't let me back in to change the setting back
