Can't restore .pst file.

Hi all,
I am restoring my system from a hardware failure and am
trying to import my backed up .pst file via the wizard.
When I try to do it I get an "Operation failed" message.
I have another copy on a cd and I get the same message.
It is not checked as "read only". Other than that I'm not
sure what to do.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

What about replacing the default .pst file on the HD with your backup copy, instead of using the import wizard?

I know you stated it above, but just make sure the copy of your file on the HD is not marked as read-only. I recently did the same thing you are doing, and couldn't figure out why OE was crashing everytime it started up. Come to find out, it was because I forgot to unmark the message files as read-only.

That may have worked..but I just tried running the inbox repair tool on the .pst file and it worked.
