Can't restore backup file

before i stripped my old comp of a few things for my new computer, i backed up everything into a windows backup file (11 gigs worth) now that i have my new computer up and running, i tried to run the file and restore the files but it wont let me access it. the restore program sees the file and its size but it wont let me select the file and extract it.

in my old comp i had 2 hard drives. a primary 60 gig, and a secondary 80 gig. when i moved to my new comp, the 80 became the primary and the 60 was the slave. the 60 gig had the backup file plaus a few other folders that i jsut transfered over. i reformatted the 80 and installed XP. i then transfered over the files and the backup file and tried to unload it, but it failed. the blackup file contains all the files that WERE on the 80 gig drive, so i cant go back and network the files over.

here is a picture of the window and what it looks like when i try and restore the files:

Try putting the backup/restore utility in wizard mode and follow the generic prompts. When you get to the where you choose what to restore, expand the "file" selection and check what you want. There will be a selection of files (the titles of the backup files), and then you will have to expand the file title you want so that you can get to what you want to restore. If it isn't there, hit the browse button...
