Can't reply to Private Messages

Is there a known issue with not being able to respond to private messages?

I'm getting them, but when I hit reply, I just get bounced back to the initial "mailbox".

Mine is like that too. If I need to reply I'll have to find the person in the forums to write back to him, but that is somewhat akward.

Someone said that is may be a browser compat issue.

I'm fixing to try it in IE when I get home, but if that's the case then there's going to be quite a few unlucky Linux users here. 🙁

Private messages is no different than posting a message in a thread, the problems lie at the user end as far as we can tell. Its so simple how it works that there really is little chance its on the code end of things. Cookies are important you have to have the cookies that you are assigned if not forget it.

I have the same problem here. Don't know about IE, however, as I mainly use NS to view the forums. I'll give it a try, by talking to myself and sending myself a PM LOL.

I'm using Netscape on two different computers (work and home) and am getting the same problem. I have cookies enabled and haven't cleared them in weeks. I can post replies to threads, but not to private messages.

I usually use Netscape for the forums and thread replying works but not private messages replying. I tried replying to a private message in IE and voila, it works ! I have not cleared my cookies since for a long time so I don't think it is the problem.

I have cleared my cookies and re-logged into the forums. I can reply to a thread (obviously) but not a private message.

Guess what else! It works in IE.

WOrks great in IE...was kinda screwy when first started out but now it seems most of the quirky problems are fixed like being able to read it and not seeing the message still posted as a new message..its a new service but has come a long way in a short time..good stuff at least for those of us on IE.
