I recevied a private message related to my FS thread, I dont seem to be able to reply.

Both quick and full replies seem to work as I write and click send, but nothing appears in my sent folder, and I dont get any replies.

I checked my options and didn't see anything out of the ordinary...

🙁 There are probably 50 threads already in technical or personal forum issues about this issue, but here is the answer yet again:

go to usercp
click on Edit Options
under Messaging & Notification
Private Messaging
Check "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default"

Your messages are being sent, just not saved in your sent folder.

Please, please search before posting. Almost any problem experienced has been experienced by someone else before.
