Can't repait Windows 2000

I just installed Windows 2000 yesterday and it locked up while installing the service pack. Now I can't boot, as it just stays at setting up network connections and I can't get into safe mode, it just keeps going back to the login screen.

My CD isn't bootable so I don't know how to repair. Please help.

If your CD isn't bootable how did you install W2K in the first place? Try to into your bios and look for the boot settings. Make sure that your cd comes before the HD.

But since your system look so screwed I would recommend a reinstall. It's better to do it now than later

If your cd isn't bootable, then you must have used setup disks. You can reinstall with these, or you should have created an emergency repair disk.

I had the *same* thing happen. I ended up going to BootDisk.com to create boot disks for Win2K. I then re-installed because the repair would not work. Needless to say, I am not upgrading to SP1 any time soon.

Regards
