Can't remove things from Quick Launch toolbar after SP2 upgrade

I have recently upgraded to XP SP2, and everything seems to be working fine so far except for my Quick Launch toolbar. It has IE in there and I want to remove it, but I used to be able to right click and hit delete. Now, I right click and the menu never pops up. It just hangs there and eventually just returns me to where I was. Sometimes, the Dr Watson error box pops up.

Also, when I right click on something in the start menu, it does the same thing. The screen just hangs for about 30 seconds, then returns me to where I was.

Any suggestions about this?
 
Thanks!! I downloaded the latest version of Dr. Divx and the Divx codec and now it works just fine. Thanks for the help.
