cant remove program from win98

the program title still appears in the add/remove programs list.
I am unable to uninstall it after repeatedly running the remove
program routine.

How can I best edit the registry to remove this turd?

expand it to show programs find what you dont want then del
 
yea lots of programs have this problem, best way to avoid it is to only install stuff you know you want to keep, and try new programs on a test comp, but of course, not all people have this option
 
t-bird...would you mind explaining your explanation a little better? I'd love to get rid of my programs from the add/remove list, but most of them won't go, and I couldn't keep up with your explanation.
 
that is where the list for add & remove programs is listed in the registry
what i meant was expand that key to reveal all the listed programs for add & remove
then find the program name you no longer want & delete the key
but as Zipperhead said tweakui does the same thing
 
If the uninstall feature does not work from the Add/Remove programs applet, try re-installing the program & then uninstall.
