so this was wayyyy back in the day. well for me at least. in the days of the 386 and 486 and turbo buttons and the like.

anyway, it was a 2d spacecraft fighter, and there were, i think, 2 sequels to this game. there were a bunch of fighters, of all different shapes and sizes. each had their own speed, weapon and secondary weapons. the fighting took place in space and the view was top down. you could play either vs the computer or a friend. it's hard for me to describe what most of the ships looked like, but i do know that 1 was a fast flying saucer with no inertia that fired a laser, another was a star trek looking like ship that fired rockets and had a small laser.

the 2nd sequel had a one player RPG element if i remember correctly. you could outfit your ship with certain traits and get money from mining other planets.

hopefullly someone else played this too. i thought of this cuz i just saw a picture of battle chess and the memories came flooding in.
