Can't read private messages

Don't know if this has been reported before. I'm using XP SP1 with Firefox. Ever since we went to the new forums, I haven't been able to read a private message by clicking on the read icon. All I get is a gray screen in the place of the normal text. I can see the user's icon and other buttons, but no text. To read the PM, I have to go to my history and click on the user's name.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you fix it?

Consider yourself lucky. I, myself, haven't been able to use the icons ever since the forums were upgraded.
I can't create a new thread, I can't use the pm and profile icon, I can't use the "reply" function. I can only use the quick reply function.

If the webmaster is reading this, could you help us please? I'm also using mozilla firefox with XP SP1 operating system. With the old forums, I never had any trouble posting or replying or anything. Now I just can't do anything. Everytime I'm interested in buying something in the FS forum, I can't check the seller's location, email, etc, etc... heeeeelp please.

By the way, the problem is not with firefox only. It's doing the same thing with Internet Explorer.
When I use internet explorer, it's giing me the "click" sound but nothing happens.
And again, this is only happening since the upgrade. I had no problem with the old at.

Help pleaseeeeee....

Are you running any firewalls or additional popup blocking software? Are you allowing JavaScript to execute?
 
I have norton antivirus and norton internet security, and that's it.
I tried disabling internet security to allow pop ups, but still doesn't let me do anything.

I believe I allow JavaScript to exectute, but I have to make sure. Can you tell me the steps to do this? I never played with JavaScript execution before.

And let me ask you, when I click, reply, and all of that, shouldn't it open in the same page? I know clicking on profile will open a new window.

Jason, I don't know if you're talking to me or machintos, but everything worked with the same setup before the new forums went into effect.I could try it with zonealarm turned off....
 
Firefox works perfectly fine here, it has to be something in your setup, i have no idea what but something is blocking javascript execution on your machine.
