Cant read Digital Photos saved with Win98 with Windows XP?

I have been backing up my digital photos on to CD for a few years now. Recently I went back to look at some
old photos and they would not read "invalid file header". On the same CD half would read, half would not.
I noticed that the date of the files that would not read were from when I had windows 98, the ones that
do read start from when I installed XP. The photos saved on windows 98 did work at one time (I had viewed them
before but that was with windows 98).


Is this a common problem? Can these files be fixed?

There might be something wrong with the disc. Did you use multisession burning? Try copying them all to your hard drive and opening them with a different photo viewer.
