Can't put machine into standby

I recently purchased an Epox 8K3A everything works fine except one issue I cant solve with the stand by option in start, shutdown in windowsXP it is grayed out. I cant for the life of me figure out why. I checked the sys log in admin tools and there isn't one error in there. Also checked the device manager and there aren't any legacy drivers installed. I tried to turn ACPI off in the bios, but windows XP refused to boot after that, so I renabled ACPI.. Any other ideas? Im scratchin my head See my sig for system details

I just got the same board and running WinXP and I dont have this issue so not really sure why. Did you do a fresh OS install? You may want to try and reload th OS if you did just the mobo upgrade.

P.S. why go into stanby when you can run Seti for TeAm Anandtech? Come over to distributed computing sometime. 😉
