hey i'm posting this from my bro's computer, but on my comp it's not allowing me to post a new topic or a comment since anandtech renovated their site. maybe because of the pop-up window my norton is blocking it thinking it's a pop-up ad? anyone know how to get around this if it's not the pop-up blocker from norton?
 
I seem to have the same problem with the "Reply" and "Quote" options, but the Quick Reply seems to be working (assuming you see this!). I also tried disabling Norton security with no affect. Also tried disabling Google's pop-up blocker and updating Sun Java. What next?

It turned out that my problem was with Norton Internet Security. To fix it, I had to uncheck the "Turn on Popup Window Blocking" option under the "Ad Blocking" setting. I discovered that any changes you make do not affect any existing IE session; you need to kill it and restart to see the change take effect.
 
Just add anandtech.com as a trusted site. This isn't a fusetalk or forum issue, its just simple javascript window.open and your blocker is blocking it. Firefox is at least fairly intelligent about it's blocking, as it only blocks forced windows where the server initiates a window.open not the client.
