Part sent to ISP:
"Using applications that process a lot of requests sometimes kills the connection all together. This happens (with and without the router) everytime I refresh the server list for Team Fortress 2 (PC game) and everytime I visit Housingmaps.com (a craigslist and google map mashup site). Once the connection is lost, it will take 5-15 minutes to reset."
part of the response from ISP:
"The systems is designed to protect itself from ?Flooding?. If your connection performs more than 100 Windows Sessions per second the router will shut down the port for 10 minutes."
... so.. how can I limit the number of servers that are being refreshed in TF2? I havent been able to play it in 8 months... any suggestions?
and no, i cant get a new ISP until I more (4 months), its a highrise and the building is locked in.
