Can't play dvds... get strange message

I have installed drivers for my ATI9100 video card and it is seen in the hardware list as well as when I do a properties on my desktop to set the screen resolution.

When I try and play a DVD, Media player 10 comes up and gives the following message:

'Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD becase a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer.'

Any ideas?

I have used this card on an XP box and it played DVDs fine... I don't know what program I used to view the DVDs, but the hardware was the same.
